Close to Home: The Trailer Is Here

At Blockgraph, we’ve been thinking a lot about proximity—not as another advertising buzzword, but as something much more tangible: closeness in the real world.

Advertising often focuses on reaching more people or narrowing in on highly specific audiences. But for businesses with physical locations, one question matters most: are the households being reached close enough to drive over, walk in and become customers?

That idea is at the heart of Close to Home, a new Blockgraph series hosted by our CEO, Jason Manningham.

This summer, Jason is walking New York City neighborhoods with the people behind local businesses—the founders and operators who understand their blocks in ways data can only begin to reveal. They know why they opened on one corner instead of another, when foot traffic disappears, what brings people through the door and what keeps them coming back.

They also understand proximity better than almost anyone. After all, they signed a lease betting on it.

There is no studio and no formal script. Just a walk, a conversation and the city moving around them. Along the way, the series explores why some businesses thrive, what makes certain places worth traveling for and how deeply local knowledge shapes success.

Again and again, the same idea comes through: success is not always about reaching everyone. It is about reaching the people close enough to walk through the door—and giving them a reason to return.

Watch the Close to Home trailer now. Full episodes are coming later this summer.
